As a new patchworker, I got to know a lady who worked for Janome Machines, who also went to our group. She took all of us to task about cleaning our sewing machines (or not!). Then she proceeded to give the entire patchwork group a basic lesson in maintenance of sewing machines. It's so easy! So it's been part of my routine since the beginning...clean out the bunnies, replace the bobbin case, and fill the little hole in it with special machine lubricant. And change needles after each project (altho I have to admit, in my case I break them on a regular basis by forgetting to change my machine feet BEFORE beginning to zig-zag...yes, very careless of me I know...so new needles are usually at hand!).
So that's my contribution to the discussion!

Oh, and PS...Phil got the job in Bris!
